Nail of the Week: Colour Blocking

I recently picked up a copy of the Boots Health and Beauty magazine (free to Advantage Card Holders! Woop Woop!) and read it front to back in a couple of hours. As I was going through it, I saw a page on nails, and considering my nail varnish and nail painting addiction, I read it all. What stood out was nail design trends that have recently been on the catwalks. I had no idea designers planned down to that finest detail for their models - this week I decided to recreate a look Henry Holland went for with his models...

A Little Easter Lush Haul

Here we go again....another Lush Haul! What can I say - I just love that shop! I was just beginning to run out of supplies from my last Lush Haul when I popped into the Edinburgh store whilst I was in Scotland for a week! I only bought a couple of things though because I didn't want my case to smell too much on the way home...anyway here are those indulgences...

Recipe: Lemon Icing Butterfly Buns

It's coming up to Easter and I thought this would be the perfect excuse to get the whisk out and start baking. I love chocolate as much as the next guy, but sometimes you want something a bit different so I thought I'd make some little butterfly buns for Easter instead! I thought I'd make them a week in advance so that if you fancy making them for Easter you have time!

My 100 Things | #31 Go to a Concert

We're here again, posting about my addiction to buying concert tickets, and getting that thrill that seeing live music gives me! This weekend myself and three friends went to see McBusted! Keep reading to see how we got on...

Nail of the Week: Spring Flowers

During Blogmas I posted a different Christmas related nail art design each week. These seemed really popular, so I thought that now it's spring, I'd start doing some more, and I'll start that today! It's a little bit of a spring flower design today, and requires only a couple of nail varnishes, and can be done in whatever colours you have in your stash!

TAG: I Heart Spring Tag

I love a good tag, and I saw this one floating about on the internet and considering today is the first day of spring, I thought I would do the I <3 Spring Tag. I think spring is probably favourite season. I love how the weather is changing and fashions are changing and everyone seems to be getting happier. Anyway, enough of my ramblings...

Review: The Body Shop Instablur

This is a product that has received a lot of hype. It's something The Body Shop has become well known for, and it's a fierce competitor in the primer arena! Do I think it lives up to the hype? Would I repurchase? Is it worth the money?

The Make Up Bag... Country Break

Packing up my make up bag for a few relaxed days away in a cottage in Scotland was a tough task. Getting it down to a few versatile items that would serve me well for relaxed country days, city days, and pubs nights out. So, what did I take?

Rimmel Match Perfection vs Rimmel Wake Me Up

They are fierce competitors in the foundation wars. Created by the same high street brand Rimmel, The Match Perfection and Wake Me Up foundations are firm favourites of mine. They are my go to everyday foundations, but which would come out on top if I could only choose one?

My 100 Things | #54 Buy a Standing Ticket for a Concert

I have a big love for music, and even though I can't play any instruments, and as my friends will tell you I definitely can't sing, I listen and try to sing along to a lot of music. Going to concerts is one of my favourite things to do. I absolutely love it! Last year, no wait the year before I think, wow two years ago, myself, Robyn and another good friend of mine Alex went to see The Script live. We queued for a good few hours on the streets of Nottingham, on what was a very cold, damp Friday in March and whilst myself and Robyn went on a very long coffee run, we left Alex to almost catch pneumonia. Alex's near death experience and our patience was rewarded though, and we got front row at what was probably one of the best gigs I've been too. When tickets for their current tour went on sale last year, we thought we'd try our luck again...

The Make Up Bag...Skincare Essentials

I thought I'd start a series of posts today that will be spread across the next few weeks and months, that give you a peak into my make up bag. Today I'm starting with the skincare essentials I take everywhere with me, and then in future posts show the make up variations that I take with me depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing.

Review: Nivea Express Hydration Primer

I've just got around to purchasing another pot of my favourite moisturiser. I couldn't imagine my make up bag without it, and I thought I would do a little review of what I think is a little pot of skin loving goodness. Let's talk about the Nivea Express Hydration Primer...

The Favourite Five... Mascaras

It's a make up essential I can't live without, and it's something that I think can transform your make up look in seconds. My eyes don't look the same without it, my collection is quite extensive, and I've picked out my favourite five mascaras to tell you about in today's post!

Monthly Favourites | February 2015: Let's talk music!

It's that time again, the end of the month and the time for another monthly favourites - I know I say it every month, but really where does the time go?! This time I've decided I'd stick to one thing only, something I love very much, but don't usually include in my favourites - MUSIC! I'd usually have a couple of beauty favourites, or skincare favourites, but that's not really been the case this month, so I thought I'd talk all about the tracks I'm loving at the moment...
