Review: Sleek True Colour Lipstick

I'm quite fussy when it comes to lippies. I always find with my ginger hair lipsticks either look really good or they totally just clash! I'd been looking for something with a really creamy formula that was quite dark, but had redder undertones as oppose to purple. I found this Sleek Lipstick and gave it a whirl so here are my thoughts!

THE FORMULA
_____________________________________________________________________________________

This is a super creamy formula. When I initially apply it, it does tend to slide around on the lips a bit so I always make sure they are dry and apply with a lip brush. It's not drying at all (the website says it's enriched with Vitamin E and you can totally tell), and the formula means it builds really well so that you get the intensity of colour that you want, without it sticking, going claggy or clinging in different places. I hate it when little clumps gather, but the creaminess of this means that doesn't happen!

THE STAYING POWER

Food is the one thing that this lipstick doesn't agree with but then it's impossible to win all the time. Food tends to be the only thing that makes it budge. If it were to go untouched it would last pretty much all day. It's only after many many hours that the ring starts to form on the edge of your lips, but take it with you to top up should you need and you'll be fine.

THE REST OF THE RANGE

I would certainly purchase more shades of this lipstick. I currently have it in the shade 'vamp'. I would definitely recommend swatching them in store because when I did what appeared to be the colour in the tube seemed different when on the back of my hand.

THE PRICE

These lipsticks sell at Boots for £4.99. I think this is a really good price and in line with brings such as Rimmel. The tube is quite small though so you're paying a similar price to other brands for less lipstick....but who actually uses up a full lipstick anyway!

Tell me if there is any lipstick you think I should try that you just can't stop wearing!
Love, Hannah x
