First Impressions: The Yorkshire Soap Co. Bath Truffles

I'm a bath bomb junkie, but while I've been at Uni and had zero access to a bath I've imposed a spending ban on bath products. I received some bath truffles from one of my aunties for Christmas from the Yorkshire Soap Co. Having sat in my bathroom cabinet for a couple of months, the other week, well, it revolutionised my life. It was lovely so I thought I'd share those first thoughts with you today.

THE PACKAGING

When I say it revolutionised my life I was mainly talking about the packaging. My Christmas gift came wrapped in a lovely chocolate style box, and at first I thought they were chocolates. When I opened it up though (oblivious to the fact it said the words 'bath truffles' on the top!) I was amazed when I saw these little cupcake shaped bath melts. They are just so cute! The bath truffles come in a cute little case with piping on the top, and a little topper. Soooo adorable!

THE SMELL

Before you actually drop something into the bath, the smell is one of the deciding factors on whether you'll like it or not. I haven't smelt a bad one of these yet. Because I received the gift set first (I've since been out and bought some myself) I don't actually know what scents I have aside from to tell you they are good ones. They're quite understated, which I like because there is nothing worth than lying in a headache inducing bath, but still leave you smelling lovely, and leave the bathroom equally as scented.

THE PRODUCT

The bath truffles are particularly moisturising. They melt really quickly in the bath and release a hydrating and moisturising mixture of oils. I have quite bad skin on my legs, and after just one use I could see a difference. They really seemed to soften my skin. The only negative I have is that the oils were left on the surface of the bath after the water washed away. It made the bath quite slippy so I had to wipe it all away afterwards. A bit of pain (built up a sweat after being all relaxed!) but not a reason not to buy these products.

THE PRICE
_____________________________________________________________________________________

The Yorkshire Soap Co. refer to these bath melts as 'bath truffles'. They sell these at £2.50 each (not the cheapest but competitive with brands such as Lush), along with a mixture of other soap products including bath bombs, £2.50, bath foams, £6.50 and soap bars, £3.  From cupcake bath truffles to soap cake slices these unique designs mean these products make the perfect gift.

With stores across Yorkshire, and an online shop, the family values of this business are really clear. They're cute and characterful with charming products. What's not to love?
